After recently graduating with a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, I have directed my efforts towards computer programming, statistical analysis, and data visualization. With the incredible amounts of biological data on the horizon presenting new opportunities for research and medical applications, I am trying to build a foundation of skills and knowledge to become a valuable researcher/developer on the interface between biological research and computer science.
Graphic Baseball What started as a few graphs from an Execl spreadsheet of batting averages and on base percentages has turned into a web application where I attempt to turn mundane tables of statistical baseball data into meaningful charts and graphs. At best, it will evolve into an site providing interesting content for even the most knowledgeable baseball enthusiasts. At worst, it provides a platform for me to learn and apply skills in data manipulation/visualization, programming, and web development.
