This chart now works as a stream-gauge explorer for the curated Upper Colorado Basin operating stations. Click a gauge in the map to load its flow history, then switch between cumulative water-year volume, daily mean flow, and rolling 7- and 15-day flow. The page still defaults to Cisco (09180500), where a longer local record is available.
How To Use This Chart
Stream-gauge map
The map shows the curated operating stations used elsewhere in the Colorado River schematic work. Click any gauge to load its time series below.
Flow mode by water year
Use the mode toggle to switch between cumulative volume, daily mean flow, and 7- or 15-day rolling flow. Cumulative mode answers how much water has passed Cisco by a given point in the WATER YEAR, while the other modes focus more directly on the flow signal moving through the basin.
Water-year day comparison
Hover over any water-year day in the upper chart to inspect that moment in the season. The readouts update for the hovered day, and the lower chart updates with the selected-mode value for each water year on that same day.
Controls
Use the mode toggle to change the lens on the data, then use the series controls to highlight years, compare the current year with close analogs, or hide inactive series.
Click a stream gauge in the map to load that station's flow history in the chart below.

Data Source
The explorer uses the curated Upper Basin operating-station daily flow dataset1 together with the mapped gauge locations2. For Cisco (09180500), the page uses a longer dedicated local record3 derived from the official USGS daily-values API.
